The Charity Partner for September is an amazing organization called Love146. As you might have read in the our bio’s, both Laurie and I(the owner’s of SkinnyKidz) adopted children from Vietnam. During the adoption process, through education, and while our family was in Vietnam to adopt our son, I had my eyes opened to the very real crime of child trafficking that is taking place all over the world (and in our own country). Love 146 is a multi-faceted organization that has many levels of outreach.

August’s charity partner of the Month is Just A Drop.

Just a Drop is independent, non-campaigning and hands-on.To date we have helped over 1 million children and their families in 29 countries.
June’s charity partner is Elephant Energy, a non-profit organization that brings small-scale, renewable energy to rural Namibia. EE’s solar light project provides nighttime illumination for families who are otherwise without electricity. All funds raised through the sale of SkinnyKidz belts will be earmarked to support energy project specific to women and children in Namibia.

May’s charity partner is Giving it Back to Kids! GIBTK is a fantastic non-profit that does wonderful work to improve the lives of families and orphans in Vietnam. GIBTK has many ongoing projects, one of which is the housing project, through which safe, clean, sound homes are constructed with brick, concrete, and functional roofing materials. GIBTK also provides medical, nutritional, and educational support for the children living in its sponsored homes for orphans. Additionally, GIBTK works to keep birth families united whenever possible, and provides the support to young, unwed, pregnant women that is necessary to make that happen.
